Dorothy was born on November 1, 1937, to Fred and Christine Fulton in Merigomish, Pictou County, NS. Dorothy lived a full and vibrant life from beginning to end and touched the lives of many people along the way. Dorothy grew up in rural Merigomish County, NS. Being the scholastic person Dorothy was, she went to university in the big city of Toronto. Graduating in the first female class of Dental Hygiene, Dorothy was well on her way to an amazing career.

After graduating, Dorothy met and married Douglas Margeson and quickly began a family of their own. Dorothy’s career was on pause for a short period to care for the children.

In 1973, the family moved all the way to Calgary, AB, where Dorothy began her career again. When Dorothy retired, she moved to Cochrane. Retiring in a smaller community gave Dorothy plenty of time to take walks with her two besties (Eddie and Charlie) as well as travelling to Scotland, an Alaskan cruise, and Newfoundland to mention her favourites.

Dorothy always made time for people and volunteered for the Seniors Centre, Meals on Wheels, and other community organizations. Dorothy also enjoyed her music, painting, computers, and crocheting.

She is survived by her son Paul Margeson of Cochrane, AB, and daughters, Jean (Ron) of Sherwood Park, AB, Katherine (Stephen) of Sylvan Lake, AB, and Heather Margeson of Calgary, AB.

She is also survived by her grandchildren whom she was very fond of, Christina Nopper of Calgary, AB, Zachary Margeson of Hinton, AB, Curtis Myck of Edmonton, AB, Christopher Myck (Aayla) of Fort Saskatchewan, AB, Ashley Stefaniszyn  (Blake) of Edmonton, AB, Laura Rudderham (Travis) of Point Edward NS, Sasha Harrison (Simon) of Vernon, BC,  Johnathan Hanz (Erin) of Sylvan Lake, AB, and Amy Nopper (Thomas) of Calgary, AB; and her great-grandchildren, Isabella Margeson, Gavin Margeson, Winston Margeson, Lily Harrison, Lucy Harrison, Liam Myck, Caleb Myck, Avalyn Myck, Max Rudderham, Caisson Nopper-Campbell, Isla Nopper-Campbell, Chloe Stefaniszyn, Ellie Stefaniszyn, and Lily Hanz.
